Where it's made, and where it ships from
baby is designed in Portugal. Each piece is printed and shipped to order inside the European Union by our production partner. We hold no stock: nothing is made until you order it.
We do not say «Made in Portugal» until the production invoice comes from a Portuguese factory whose name and address we publish next to the claim.
How long it takes
The total is two parts, added together:
| Stage | Time |
|---|---|
| Production | 2 to 5 working days |
| Shipping — Portugal and Spain | 2 to 5 working days |
| Shipping — rest of the European Union | 3 to 8 working days |
| Shipping — outside the EU | 5 to 15 working days |
These are our production partner's estimates, counted from the moment payment clears. In busy periods they can stretch, and when that happens we say so on the product page before you buy, not after.
Cost, and customs
Shipping is calculated at checkout, based on destination and weight. We ship across the European Union and to several countries outside it. The full list appears at checkout.
Orders outside the European Union may be subject to customs duties and import taxes charged by the destination country. Those are not included in the price or the shipping, and they are paid by you.
Sizes
Every piece runs S to 2XL. There is no XS: the blanks we use don't offer one in the EU.
We have not published chest and length measurements yet. We will not copy them from a supplier catalogue — we publish them once we've measured the sample ourselves, in centimetres, per size.
Until then, write to us with your height, your usual size and the brand of a t-shirt that fits you well, and we'll tell you which one to take. If we get it wrong, see the next section.
Returns — 14 days, no reason needed
If you are in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. This right is yours by law and nothing on this page limits it.
To use it, an unambiguous statement to babycompany127@gmail.com before the deadline is enough. An email saying you want to return it will do.
- Write to us with your order number.
- We answer within 24 hours with the return address and instructions.
- Send the piece within 14 days of your statement.
- It must arrive in resaleable condition: unworn beyond trying it on, unwashed, with the tags.
We refund everything you paid, including standard outbound shipping, within 14 days of receiving the piece back or of you proving you sent it, whichever comes first. Return shipping is yours to pay, except when the mistake is ours.
Choosing the size is on you
Every product page lists measurements in centimetres: chest laid flat, and shoulder-to-hem length. Measure a piece you own that fits you well and compare before ordering. It beats picking by the letter.
We do not cover the cost of a size you chose wrongly. If it doesn't fit, return it under the 14 days above — but the return shipping is yours to pay.
This takes no right away from you. You can still return without giving a reason, and we still refund everything you paid, standard outbound shipping included. What we are telling you, before you buy rather than after, is who pays the postage back.
We hold no stock and have no shop: each piece is printed after you order it. We cannot absorb every mis-sized return without putting it in the price for everyone, including those who get it right first time. We would rather publish honest measurements and keep the price.
For a different size, place a new order and return the first one. We do not do direct exchanges, because the replacement has to be produced from scratch anyway.
Faulty, wrong or damaged
If a piece arrives faulty, wrong or damaged in transit, write to us within 30 days with a photograph. We reship or refund, your choice, and shipping is on us both ways.
This is separate from the 14 days above, and here the postage is never yours: our mistake, our cost.
You also have the three-year legal guarantee of conformity that Portuguese law gives for movable goods.
If we can't sort it out
If you have a complaint we can't resolve between us, you can go to an alternative consumer dispute resolution body. In Portugal the list is at consumidor.gov.pt, and there is an electronic complaints book at livroreclamacoes.pt.
Why the rest of the site is in Portuguese
Each piece carries a sentence of spoken Portuguese on the back, and the page for that piece says where the sentence comes from and what it means — in Portuguese.
We don't translate those. Not because we want to keep anyone out, but because the sentence is the product: translated, there is nothing left to sell. The money is the same from anywhere in Europe. What doesn't travel is the key.
So: this page, in English, tells you everything you need to order. Write to us in any language — we'll answer with every fact about your order, shipping and size. We just won't translate what's printed on the back.
